Gisele Bündchen Recalls "Challenging" Time of Learning Tom Brady Had Fathered Child With Bridget Moynahan

When it comes to co-parenting, it's all about teamwork.
And Gisele Bündchen, Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan know this firsthand.
While getting candid about her October divorce from the former NFL star, the supermodel looked back to 2006—when they learned the Blue Bloods actress, whom Tom had previously dated, was pregnant with his child.
As Gisele noted in Vanity Fair's April cover story publish March 22, that time was a "challenging situation for all of us." But the trio were able to weather that storm following the arrival of Tom and Bridget's son Jack in 2007 (though Bridget and Gisele didn't meet for more than a year after the now 15-year-old's birth).
"I have a great relationship with her..." Gisele revealed of her bond with Bridget. "Everything in life comes with work. You have to go through the roller coaster. You have moments where you get to the sticky points and you've gotta overcome it."
And she's happy they were able to reach this point. "Love conquers all," the former runway star shared. "My life became so much richer because I got to learn so much from that." As she put it, "Nothing is worth fighting [over]."
After all, Gisele noted she, Bridget and Tom were aligned on wanting to put Jack first.
"My goal was always, how can I be the most helpful? How can I make it the easiest I possibly can?" she said about her feelings towards Bridget. "I put myself in her shoes and I was like, 'How can I support her?' Because in the end of the day, we are team players in 'How are we going to do this so [Jack] can have the best life?'"
The 42-year-old even noted that Jack's arrival sped up the timeline of when she and Tom wanted to have kids, with them welcoming son Benjamin, 13, in 2009 and daughter Vivian, 10, in 2012.
"Jack came into our lives and I felt so blessed and it kind of awakened in me this desire of being a mom," she explained to the magazine. "I've always dreamed of being a mom, but I think that happened a little faster than I thought, because now I have this beautiful little angel that I get to care for and love."
And despite her split from Tom, Gisele's love for Jack endures, as she added, "I love him so much."
And just as how she, Bridget and Tom worked together for Jack, Gisele noted she and the recently retired quarterback plan to do the same as they continue to raise Benjamin and Vivian.
"We're not playing against each other," she said about co-parenting after the end of their 13-year marriage. "We are a team, and that's beautiful. I look back and I have no regrets. I loved every bit of it."
